2009 Kentucky Elk Hunt

It was a dream come true for one Pulaski County sportsman. Chris Godbys name was drawn as part of a fundraiser for youth conservation camps through the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation. With host Tim Farmer along for the thrill, the 820-pound bull was quite the harvest; almost as big as the smile on the hunters face. My Elk Hunt

I took this bull elk in Northern Utah in November 2008. Having this opportunity to take such an amazing animal was an incredible challenge and thrill. I scouted for months and when I finally found this bull, I made a long hike each day for 3 days before the hunt to watch him. On opening morning he had moved, but I were able to get to him and make a much-practiced 320 yard shot. THE VIDEO SHOWS THE KILL SHOT, BUT IT IS NOT BLOODY OR GRUESOME. He scores 372″ Boone & Crockett.
